Studio Projects SP-828 vs Mackie 1200f Onyx

Hi Guys, I am running the SP-828 for some standard mic pre's (I have some stand alone pre's) and I am wondering what the audio quality of these pre's would be like in comparison to the new Mackie Onyx 1200f pre's.....

Could I have comments from people that have actually used the Onyx Pre's and are familiar with Studio Projects.

Cheers

I haven't used either piece. But I used to own some studio project mics that I thought were real nice and I've owned some Mackie gear in my day. I think the 1200F would be the clear winner here. The preamps are supposed to be really very good. Of course, the 1200F also has A/D conversion and comes bundled with Tracktion, Mackie's recording software.
