I have been using AKG k702 for years. They a very neutral sounding to me and allow good decisions.

Recently i got my self a real treat with a pair of Fostex TH909 paired with a Lake-People G109.
These are expensive but to me stood well up with 6000$ cans.
Compared to high end monitors they are cheap

To me it´s whole new dimension, i almost had to cry out of joy.
They are sooo revealing.

But i still like to switch back to the AKGs from time to time.
