NI Komplete 8 Ultimate two computers with one external HD

I'm to purchase Komplete 8 and run/instal on two of my computers, my iMac (home) and my Macbook pro (travel) but plan on using the same external hard drive, I will first install on my iMac and put all libraries on my external drive, but when I install on my macbook pro will I need to install the sound libraries a second time on my external since it is a different computer? Will I have to have double of the same sound libraries on my external hard drive since I will be using on two different computers?

After you install the library for the first time, try deleting it and installing it for the second time in the same place.

If that doesn't work out ... Bad luck, try e-mail Native Instruments

No you don't need to that unless it changed now with Komplete 8. IN previous incarnations of Komplete you could always not instal the libraries and then point the individual instruments to the library location. I'd be surprised if NI changed that.

No fear. I'm going to do something similar. Just do a custom install the second time and leave out the kontakt libraries and expansion content. And battery. Let it reinstall the fm8, absynth, reaktor, GT rig, and all their libraries. You're just gonna leave out all the contact related stuff which is 95% of the install volume.

I have a tower running Osx 10.7 and Windows 7. They both read from the same Ssd drives that contain my libraries.

Cheers
