Just picked up a beautiful Electro Voice V-2 with a brand new ribbon motor and Luhdahl transformer done by Michael of restomodmics.com. The mic itself is in pristine cosmetic condition but the sound is the real beauty of this mic. Michael does a fantastic job of restoring old mics or mod'ing others into ribbons. The tone on this mic is rich and warm with plenty of output. I purchased this for the purposes of voice over/audio book work and it has not disappointed me. I have some other nice mics but this one definitely has a special place in the locker.

1 - T.bone MB 75
1 - T.bone SC 300

I could really use some money to get more, though I'm pretty happy with the MB 75, I don't really even use the SC 300 at all because I hate the way it sounds, it has a really cold and hard sounding top-end. The MB 75 is a solid SM 75 copy though, good bang for the buck.

I don't really have a "locker" for my mics yet. I have a mic bag right now. When I get my control room cleaned out and start working on it, I'm gonna have some drawers or a real locker/closet type thing. (I don't own the house we record at, so the owner and I have to clean out their stuff.)

I have:
1 Shure SM7b
2 Shure SM57 (will have at least one more before long)
1 AKG D5, I use this for rehearsing/live vocals, whenever we jam.
1 GLS ES57
1 Pyle Pro -shivers lol- PDMIC58 (I have another, but it got lost.) This is a back up vocal mic, sometimes I give the drummer this to sing in.

I plan on getting:
1 Audix D6
1 Audix i5
2 Audio-Technica AT2020s
1 Heil PR20, hopefully. May use this for rehearsing/live vocals instead of the D5.

How are those BM800's? I assume they are those dirt cheap large diaphragm condenser mics you can get from Ebay, and probably many other webstores. Do you have any soundclips from them?

Yeah they are, I got 2 for $60 about. I "like" them well enough, and am usually able to get the sound I'm looking for. I dont have any clips up of just bm800 takes, but the songs at the link were tracked with the mics I mentioned + scarlett 18I20 + pt10 laptop. Bm800 was used on vox, room, electric and acoustic guitar, violin dubs

Well - I don´t even need a locker After trying a lot, buying and selling, I now have:

Lewitt LCT 340 cardioid + omni capsules
Lewitt LCT 640
Shure Beta 87
unknown Audio-Technica boundary mic

Since I really love the Lewitts, I have no need for anything else - I just record myself (acoustic guitar, voice). I was able to compare the LCT640 with a Brauner Phantom, a TLM67 (wonderful mic), NT-1000, AT 40xx (SPL Nugget), SM7B, RE20, ... and do not have the feeling that I miss something. It is surely not the Lewitt that limits my performance
But, for having another "color" or something to play, I would like:

- a Moth Mic. These crazy handbuilt things from Spain. Really. Never used one, but the idea and the looks are great.
- SM7B or RE20
- a ribbon
