Speaker Monitor fix

My oldest boy got into my mixing room and pushed the center of the horn in on one of my KRK V8 monitors. AAAAAAAARHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGGGGGGG! I took it apart and It doesn't appear that I can push it out from the back side. Any suggestions on a fix?

you mean the tweeters?

use clear tape, gently stick it to the diaphragm and gently pull
repeat until the whole thing pops out again

hmmm, kids do the darnest things

the tape thing is the best idea, however if it does pop back out and it has creases you may opt to replace the tweeter from KRK, I had to do so for a similar incident, it was $40 from KRK...

if the tweeter dome has damage or creases it will adversly effect the sound although your ears may not detect it. an analyzer could easily see what has happened in the high regions...

Great idea! I used 2 pieces of clear tape to pull it back out. It's still a little wrinkled/has mini dimples around the edge, but it's pretty close! The boy is 3 - I told him he's not going to college.
