Got Mackie HR824 MK II want something new

Have been mixing on my HR824 MKII's for nearly 2 years now and I they've treated me well. in my room these speakers translate well, but i want more stereo seperation, some tighter lows (though with the same range if possible) and a bit less fuzzy/smooth mid

I've been looking @ the quested S8R's or Genelecs 8040's
I mainly produce Club/Electro/House type music, so the 30<400hz transation is really important, even more importan than an "open" speaker

I've listened to ADAM but found them a bit too upfront and "near" field, also sentitive to ear fatique on longer sessions.
Any recommendations?

i've used the 8040's in a few 5.1 mix sessions and the stereo imaging is pretty good. not sure how they compare to your current setup because i haven't used the mackies before. also note you will need a sub with the 8040's to cover below 50hz
