Yes the Edirol sounds great. I'd really appreciate it if you could email me some samples - I'll message you here with my regular email address etc.

I am still attracted to the Yamaha's though since they seem the lightest and MOST portable.

Anybody know what the mics are like on the Yamaha C24 and CX? (and how they compare?).
