Multiple DAW's Multiple Interfaces

I currently have an A&H ZED16R and an RME FF800.
I have the ZED running on Sonar LE.
I have the RME running on Cubase 4.
Right now I have one computer with one firewire connection.
There are four ADAT connectors on each unit (ADAT1 In/Out and ADAT2 In Out) which I can connect between the two interfaces. I have four optical TOS link cables.
I currently have all of my mic and keyboard inputs running into the ZED like an analog console and I monitor with the ZED (multiple speakers and headphones). I like using the instrument input #1 on the RME for guitar.
I've tried each one separately and it's hard for me to tell but I think I like the sound of the RME in Cubase better than the ZED. (the ZED seems bright and more harsh than the RME). So I'm wondering if it makes more sense to get a second computer and split the two systems up.
I could run the ZED on one and the RME on the existing computer.
Is there a better way to use both together...
Is there a way that would be preferred for the best sound chain?
