Mackie Control Emulation

First I hope I'm putting this in a right forum, but since it's a tool I've made just for use in our small studio and now I want to give it away...

After some struggle with Akai MPD32 as a control surface I found out that using Mackie Control would be more convenient, only there's no way I can put my hands on one in a near future.

I took a short look at GenMce and HuskerVU and inspired by these two apps I've made an MCU emulator that combines the functionality of both, i.e. Mackie protocol emulator for "generic" MIDI controller and Mackie display emulator.

You can find out more by looking at the manual (contains some screenshots): www.armego.com/files/mcu.pdf

For automatic installation you can download www.armego.com/files/MCU_Emulator_v1_0_setup.zip if you wish to make a manual install you can download www.armego.com/files/MCU_Emulator_v1_0_files.zip

Enjoy

necro-bump with reason - links in first post are not valid anymore. MCU emulator can now be found here:

docs: http://www.senderone.net/files/tools/mcu.pdf
installer: http://www.senderone.net/files/tools...v1_0_setup.zip
manual install: http://www.senderone.net/files/tools...v1_0_files.zip

enjoy

Thanks so much for this,

I just picked up 2 JL Cooper ES-8/100's and waisted a day of my life trying to get them to work with Reaper. After about an hour or so I started searching for a piece of software that would act as a mediator and remap all of the controls so that I could just set it up as a MCU and MCX and be done with it - I found this this morning and I'll give it a shot.

I know this is a very old thread, and a total longshot, but does anyone have these files they could re-upload? Links are all dead, not present in archive.org either. Trying to get my old d8b to work in Sonar.
Thanks!

Worth trying a right click or two on various controls in Sonar, especially the console view. If "Remote Control" pops up in a menu...explore further.

again a bump in 2016, 7 years after the first post :-) But I'd also love to know if anyone still has this app for download as it would be really useful for me (trying to control Adobe Premiere with a MIDI fader bank controller!)

Just in case anyone will stumble upon this thread (two years from now or so ) -- I've found the files and uploaded them to a more stable place where they will hopefully last longer than few years. So, if you are interested visit https://senderspike.wordpress.com/2019/11/12/downloads/
