I own a tonebone hot british and i love it its got lots o gain to spare but you can get a reaaally nice crunch out of it, a litle gain goes a long way.

The Mechanisms of Music

see: Silver Kiss.

This paired with a Habanero Boost replaced the Fulldrive I thought so much of.

I just did a test run of a whole bunch of pedals including a few different tub scubbers, I mean tube screamers.

The definite winner, hands down was the PLEXI-Tone by Carl Martin.

This thing is made very well (Denmark) and matches my Ampeg SuperJet all tube amp quite well. I have been a tube screamer guy for about 15 years with brief forays into other pedals but recently made this switch. This thing sounds way more tube (at least in conjunction with my tube amp) than the pedals that feature a real tube.

Here is the link product plexitone

It also offers a channel boost, and a switch between the two gain options. I'm more of a blues tone guy so I set the gain to really, really low on one channel and low on the other for a barely breaking up sound and a breaking up sound. The boost is great for when you need a volume boost for a solo and you want to do a clean solo. It's actually so clean that I also use it with my flamenco guitar for solos with my band!

Almost noone has tried this pedal, but I think some of his pedals are fantastic. The Delayla is the best stomp box delay I've tried, but is a bit too pricey and I don't use much delay so I didn't buy it.

Try it out, curious if others will agree with me.
