192 i/o

This is pobaly a stupid qwestion but im looking at the back of a PT HD 192 i/o its supost yo have 16 analog I/O but im not seeing 16 I/O?
dose a 16 split XLR or 1/4" cable plug into one of thos 25 pin's or something?

they come stock with 8ch of analog I/O and up to 16 ch of digital I/O (enclosed optical in ADAT mode). there's an empty slot to add either an A/D card, a D/A card or another dig card. they can't do 16 ch of analog I/O unless you convert one of the dig to analog with a 3rd party box.

wow ive never seen a 25 pin used for audio before :P
i gues it onaly realy used for the high end stuff then?

So you can buy a DB25 to 1/4" snake, or DB25 to XLR, or DB25 to a combination of the two.

That's what you'll need to get the analog audio signal into the back of the 192.
