Apogee 800 AES I/O & effects

I have an Apogee 800 (with a Mix option card) hooked up to my PT Mix system. I'd like to hook up some outboard effects via the AES/EBU port on the 800 but don't know if it's possible.

Is anyone doing this and if so what are the settings you used?

Apogee 800 outboard connecting?

Were you able to figure out how to run outboard effetcs etc off your Apogee.
I have both the unit connected digally via aes/ebu, and I have the anolue cables coming off the interface as well.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I found out (from Apogee) that there was no way to use the 800 for PT i/o AND a send/return at the same time. Basically, I would have to buy another one to use for an effect send/return.

I bought an 882/20 and use the s/pdif on that for a single send/return.
