RME ADI-2 vrs Multiface II converters

Are the converters in the ADI-2 better than those in the RME Multiface II. Also what pci card is recomended for the ADI-2. RME only sugest a Hamerfall card (what a suprise) A "sales engineer" sugested and audiophile 192 card.I only need to track one or two channels at a time for my projects. I am recording an acoustic guitar/ vocal and bass./p>

+BUMP+

I am looking at an RME MF2 hdsp PCIe bundle ($1250). Then, some nice pre-amps.

I believe the converters in each RME are comparable, however the ADI-2's advantage is, for example, XLR I/O and records at 192 kHz.

The total retail price for buying the ADI and the card separate would be around the same, so you may, or may not, get double the I/O for the same price (around 1200$-1300$).

If anyone can suggest some good PRE's for the MF-2, please let me know or PM me?

THANKS!!!

Patrick, you may want to try and ask here:
RME User Forum / MADI/AES Premium Line

Multiface II does not have SteadyClock.
So I think the ADI 2 might sound better.
But I'm only guessing
