old lexicon effect processors as a AD?

I am wondering, can you use a Lexicon effect processor as an AD? It got digital outputs, and you can buy MX 200 really cheap. Do you think that converters there are any good?

good idea. they are 24 bit too
you can hook em up to lightpipe?

I guess.. I am thinking about getting one and hooking it up to a digi 001 for reverbs and better conversion (if it is better)

I've got the MPX 500 and have been toying with this idea for a while. It's got the option to set the spdif output to totally dry, and to slave to the spdif input simultaneously, so it seems like it'd be a reasonable repurposing of the unit.

edit: no lightpipe though, only coax.
