Help me spend some money

Here is a list of my current gear (I'm a keyboard player):

PC with 2.8 GHz dual core, 2GB RM, widescreen monitor
Cubase SL3
Firepod interface
Furman power conditioner
Event 20/20p studio monitors
Motif ES8
CME UF6 midi controller
DX7 (MarkI)
East West Gold Symphony Orchestra
UAD-1e with EMT140 and stock plugs
Multiple Waves plugs
AT3035, CAD E200, Oktava MK-012x2, SM57x2, SM58x1

I think that's about it. I've got $1000 to spend. Here are my options:

1) Komplete4 (on sale for $499, regular $1400) and Yamaha HS80m monitors
2) Komplete 4 and upgrade to Cubase 4
3) Upgrade to Cubase 4 and studio monitors
4) other opinions????

Just trying to decide how to get the most bang for my buck. I do plan on upgrading my interface/converters/pres in the next year or so already. Thanks to the fellow sluts....

You ain't going to like it because it has no flashing lights or knobs, but ROOM ACOUSTICS. hehThat will give you the BIGGEST bang for the buck.

Yup. Treat your room.

It will be the best investment you will ever make.

I agree. I'm already on that Glenn. We're doing a home renovation right now, so my wife is kind of letting me lump that in with everything else. I'll post a pic of my room(s) tonite so I don't hijack my own post here. So, the wheels are already in motion on that one....

Bought Komplete4, but will save my money for now. Hopefully, I can seriously upgrade my monitors if I save a bit.... By the way, get um while they last. I was told they only had about 75 copies left (out of 150 Monday). thumbsup
