any one have experience with chameleon labs 7206

i just got one and i was wondering if any one has any pointers for maximizing its potential. this is my first real pre amp as well it has a eq on it and all. is it smart to record with the eq activated. just lookin to be pointed in the right area

I don't have that particular piece of gear, but the general rule is use your ears and experiment. Do some searches on the forum here and you will see a sampling of opinions about issues like headroom, recording with or without eq, mic placement, etc. -which all apply to getting the most out of your channel strip.

Do a search, I've seen lots of people talking about it. Reviews seem positive from what I've seen.
