My main pair of phones are Beyer DT250 - I find them comfortable, non fatiguing and suitable for tracking (closed design), editing and mixing (or at least as much mixing as you can do on phones) They have a decent bass response compared to DT100s etc

I also like the AKG K240s although they have a slightly bumped low end response and are semi-open so they are not really suited to tracking acoustic sources but they are arguably superior when it comes to critical listening.

The Sony 7506 are ok and I use them for tracking but I'm not sure I'd use them for much else as they are a bit forward sounding and also seem a bit lightweight in the build department - I certainly wouldn't pick them over DT100s for drummers!

I also use Beyer DT770s for tracking but I don't find them very comfortable and most people we have in the studio prefer the DT250s for comfort and sound.

My personal recommendation are the DT250s - I think they are very underrated.
