? Good Interface + Cheap Mixer ?

high guys glad to found this community

so

i want to record multiple devices without changing too many cables and stuff

so i was aiming for the SSL 2+ (2 inputs only) with a not so expensive mixer $120 ~ (yamaha MG06)

but is that better than having a normal interface with more inputs?

was looking at the M-Audio 192, Tascam, Steinberg or Motu
but the SSL2 sounds alot cleaner and wider :/

any other recommendations?

what do 'yall think?

what is better in quality?

can i recreate the cleaness & wideness from the SSL 2 in my mixing?

How would you be using the mixer. If using it to mix more than 2 channels down to two then I would suggest an interface with more i/o. If you bypass the SSL mic pre's you will be loosing part of that sound that you want. If you are only recording one or 2 inputs at a time then I would deal with hooking up stuff as needed. You will get a better sound.

Its hard to give more input without knowing how you plan on running things.
