Repurposing old Altec Lansing computer subwoofer in home studio?

Need help connecting, and how to if it's possible:

So a friend gave me their old Altec Lansing ada885 computer surround system, and I'm wondering if I'm able to use the sub in my home studio setup or if it'd even be a good idea? My current production setup is stereo analog - focusrite scarlett connected via usb to my iMac, stereo 1/4" output into mackie bigknob, then 1/4" to xlr into my adam speakers. The sub (as pictured), looks like it might be proprietary? One of the outputs is 9pin din and the other 8pin? I'd rather use it as bass management if possible., rather than a dedicated LFE channel, but who knows.

Wondering if it's even worth to try and re-purpose?

Any thoughts?

Thank you!
