FMR RNC users can you tell me about the out knob?

I just received one of the early versions (AC/AC power supply).

The output knob seems more flimsy then the rest of the other knobs (attack, release, treshold, ratio).

The output knob much smoother than the rest when turned up or down.
It'll stop at 0db in a small notch and then it'll starts spinning again, if that makes any sense.

Is yours the same? All the knobs identical apart from the out one?

I am trying to determine if this was modified, repaired or just replaced a knob.

Thank you very much

I had an RNC for a few months but it never found it very interesting sounding on anything.

As I understand it's signal path is all analog but digitally controlled analog so I think the pots for all the controls except gain are not analog pots but digital controls. I think the output gain knob was detented at 0db but it's been a few years.
