Recoridng with Behringer UMC 1820

Hey guys, i recently changed my audio interface from Steinberg UR44 to Behringer 1820 just to get more connections to extern hardware.

Im recording with Cubase and i now recognized that the function "Direct listening" in Cubase is greyed out and disabled.

Now i get serious trouble recording vocals due to even a small latency while the buffer setttings are already at a minimum. Im not recording with the 1820 Preamps but instead with a Hardware Neve Clone Preamp.

Is there a way to establish latency free recording like it was using the direct listening function in cubase?

The Behringer UMC series have that built-in. The smaller ones just have a "direct monitor" button where the 2-ch inputs are routed to the 2-ch outputs, but the bigger ones can blend.

Presumably, that'll let you add some software reverb and the like, where timing isn't critical but gives a more pleasant monitoring experience.
