AudioQuest Dragonfly Red+Monitors?

Hi guys!
I’m using the Dragonfly Red with a pair of Sennheiser HD 600 when I’m working from home. I think it sounds really good with headphones and therefore got me thinking.

Does anyone of you guys use it with studiomonitors and if so, how does it compare to lets say apogee duet in soundquality (used with monitors)?

Does it have enough juice to drive the monitors correctly?

If possible I’m thinking of setting up a simple homerig using macbook pro - dragonfly red - adam a7x or yamaha hs7s

Thanks!

The Dragonfly's headphone amp outputs ONLY 1.2 volts, its enough to power most headphones.

Yes I think the dragonfly work really good with all of my headphones. Thats why I'm curious if any one's using it with monitors.

Hi,

Looking in to getting the dragonfly red to use with my macbook.

I was wondering if anybody could comment on how the latency performs in your DAW , what buffer size options are there and in use is it usable for tracking without hardware monitoring ?

Can't find any details on this topic anywhere..

Thanks,
sTu
