Audio Interface doubts!

Hi,
First of all this is my first post, so I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong section or I'm wrong about anything.

I now have a Scarlett 2i4 (first gen) and it worked well during these years.
But now I want to make an upgrade, i would like to have at least 3 or plus mic ins and maybe more outs (optical and analog, i mean not RCA).
My budget is not more than 1000€ and I use Windows, I have 2 USB2.0; 1 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 3.1 (type-c).
I wold like a type-c in order to have other USB ins free.

Before registering i was stuck with these three options:
MOTU 624 AVB (costs 798€ in thomann)
Arturia AudioFuse Studio (costs 899€ in thomann)
Universal Audio Apollo Twin USB Duo (costs 798€ in thomann)

Here I also saw Auditent iD44 that is around 569€ why is this so out of range while it has so many quality - at first sight?

Last option could be MOTU 4 Pre Hybrid that costs round 500€, if I should not get all that money... it is USB2.0 but I know is a good instrument, am I wrong?

So small recap:
Under 1000€ - the less I spend, the better it is
USB type-c preferred - I'll spend the money if it is worth it!
At least 3 or more mic ins preferred
4 outs (XLR-jack) and maybe 1 optical Out preferred.

So sorry if I've been prolific,
Thanks for help!

Lives for gear

USB C is still relatively new in the audio interface world, especially in terms of Windows compatibility, your most common option will be USB 2.0. This is a perfectly fine plug for most general audio use, even with higher track counts it can work great.

If you find your computer short on ports, I would buy a USB C dock of sorts or a USB hub to handle that and then just use a USB 2.0 interface.

I have experience with the MOTU 1248 and if I were strapped for cash wouldn’t be afraid to look at the cheaper MOTU models. No experience with the other brands you’ve suggested.

Thanks!
I forgot to mention that the measures shoud not exceed the dimensions of the mensioned interfaces. I need the portability so no rack-like thingss!!
But thanks again!
