Schematics/Tutorial DIY Summing Mixer Passive Stereo

Looking to build a passive summing mixer that I could use to input some XLRs and pan them left or right, then have two outputs (stereo). What parts would I need to build this and anyone have some schematics or help on how I would wire that with the pots and all? Which types of pots and this would be my first project so which type of wire do you use to connect all this some specific type? Also, although this is basic if I build this myself does that make my signal slightly worse because it’s DIY and I’m not an expert, what components/wires provide top sound quality? I know XLRs come in different qualities based on strand count, shielding etc.

This is probably the best, simplest and cheapest option. It takes DB25 inputs but you could just get a snake that has XLR on the other end.
