Question Are Used Apogee Duet 2's a Good Buy?

Looking to upgrade my interface. Used Duet 2's seem to run from $250-$350, whereas brand new units are more like $550-600.

Would anyone advise against going used?

The new one's are compaitible with iOS devices, I believe. Most of the used one's I've come across are the older Mac only units. At $350 I believe it's the best value out there for a small interface. I have yet to come across one made by another company that is equal at that price.

Appreciate the feedback, L-Fire.

Seems like these are reliable enough to buy used. Either that or y'all have decided to forever hold your peace.

Definitely worth it for $350 or so. I trust the sound of mine and it holds its weight against the big boys. I just wish it had ADAT haha.

Tough call between the Duet for Mac and Duet for Mac & iOS.

If I understand it correctly, they had to redesign the Duet circuit to make it bus-powerable via an iOS device. Looks like they also shrunk down the USB connector and added a MIDI port.
