DBX 286A or Joemeek SixQ?

Hi folks,

Hope you all had a joyful Xmas....

I´am looking for a budget pre for voice, guitar and bass to upgrade my small growing home studio. As a interface I have a Konnekt 24D which I´am very happy with.

The Idea is to give that extra "punch" and gain to voice, guitar and bass for my hobby like recordings and also expand inputs on my K24D.

The pres on the K24D sound very good to me, but as I said, I need to expand and have a bit control over another input.

I have read very good things on the DBX 286A and the reputation DBX has. Although the 286A is all analog the conversion would be done on the K24D.

On the other hand, I´ve been looking at the Joemeek SixQ which has digital outs and would be handy for my K24D, but I have my thoughts on it as there´s alot of mixed fellings regarding the new Joemeek products on the web.

Can anybody please express there thoughts on these two products please...

Also, dose anybody know if the converters any good on the SixQ?

My budget is around 200-300€ for a pre. Maybe 400€ if my wife dosent kill me...

Thank you all for reading.

Regards,

Mike
