Eliosound Aireq vs Tritone Digital Hydratone EQ?

Which one is better? can someone please post samples? These two eqs look great, but are they good enough to replace analog eq's such as portico 5033?

thumbsup Hydratone good:

- Sounds great. I think the high bands are some of the best among the native EQ plug-ins around.
- Not expensive

Hydratone bad:

- Stability can be an issue, depending on the system (that's why so many folks hate pluggos) If the demo works for you, you're fine. Just don't update Pluggo or your host. As soon as you do, all bets are off again.
- CPU hog, compared to my other EQ plugs.

Never used the Eliosound, so this just as an observation on Hydratone by itself.

- Love HT and many other pluggo's.
- Hate the pluggo platform.

Besides the pluggo platform, the interface of Hydratone didn't do it for me. Could be related to pluggo maybe. It wasn't too easy to get the right settings fast, tho the actual sound of Hydratone sure was fine.

But I don't miss it having all the URS and the AirEQ

The AirEQ leaves Hydratone in the dust, imho.

The AirEQ is unlike any other plugin eq out there. It sounds fantastic, has an unorthodox but brilliant "preset" system - and is untouchable on the CPU it uses for this quality.

Hydratone imho was the big hype when it came out, but it never was really optimised for pc...the interface remains clunky and imho the sound is not all it was hyped up to be.

The Eliosound is the real deal.

+1 on dfegad Pluggo

Personally, I tend to use Neon and PLParEQ3 more than either.

I have HydraTone but never bought Eliosound full version because I need to spend money on other things more than plug-ins to add to the pile.

I do keep AirEQ demo which works nicely and without limit but will not save settings.
