Talking Using a good mic pre with a small club PA

I'm asking for opinions here wondering if I were to use my BG-1 on the vocal mic
channel at a local small venue.

It's one of those underpowered 8 channel coffee house size units running through Mackie 12/horn enclosures.

The vocals are always under powered especially if a full band shows up.

I'm pretty sure the BG-1 cost more than the entire PA amp, but wonder if
it might help to improve the sound.

it won't make a blind bit of difference

you are amplifying through poor quality amps and speakers without any headroom

if you had the headroom and everything else was equal you might be able to notice a 5% improvement, but I doubt it...
