Mic Recommendation- Camera Mount or Boom??

So I almost ordered a Deity V-Mic Pro, then heard a comparison to a Deity S-Mic 2 Boom and canceled the order.... Sort of confused on what would be best for me and what I should go with. I think it is safe to say that I will mostly be in my studio set up in one spot, but I'd really also like the flexibility to pick up and go with my camera also.

What are some comparable mics I should consider to those above? Should I start with a boom mic and then maybe buy a cheaper Rode Video Mic for a camera mount on the go? I'm looking for quality of sound first. Also.. a dumb question- can something like the Deity S-Mic 2 be mounted on a camera or am I SOL on that?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Rode, Sennheiser and a lot more to chose from. See this article for more info. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora...un-microphones

Yes you can mount the Deity S-Mic 2 on your video camera but you will need some type of shock mount. Rycote makes some very good ones, see https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

BEST OF LUCK!
