Inexpensive Road Case Wheels

Hi!

I want to put a wheels on a few road-cases I own.

These cases are not for touring, but I thought the live sound crowd would know more about cases than anyone.

They are hardly ever used. Just putting some gear in them and putting them in the back of the car when I am going to another studio, so it is only a few times a year.

I want to get wheels to save my aging back, but don't feel like spending tons of money for wheels on stuff that really doesn't "travel". Just in and out of the car occasionally.

The cases don't weigh a ton. I can pick them up myself, but would rather roll them when possible.

Any suggestions / sources?

Thanks!

Google: flight case wheels.

Or, go to any big-box hardware store...

In my personal opinion, there seems to be quite a bit of variation in the quality of casters. I've seen some in the store where the swivel bearings appeared pretty loose. There are also variations in the quality of the roller in terms of its hardness vs your floors and durability. What rolls well on asphalt might not be the best choice for a hardwood floor.

These guys seem to have a pretty good selection, but I couldn't begin to tell you which ones might suit you. https://www.surpluscenter.com/shop.a...eywords=caster
