Can the white speaker cones of Yamaha HS8 get yellow in the sun?

Hi,

my HS8 monitors are placed that the sun beams are hitting my speakers on the front every morning. I don't want the cones to turn yellow from time to time. The HS8 look nice, but I am worrying about the sun. Have you experienced something like that? Do you cover them sometimes when you have placed your speakers as I did?

Yikes.

Keep your speakers out of the sun. Discoloration isn't the issue. Drying out the domes and cones by exposing them to sunlight IS the issue.

I would cover them with a towel. UV rays will shorten the life of the cones.
