I need a PDF editor that is not Adobe

Okay, this should be in the Moan Zone.....I am helping my wife get her book published and she is using Create Space. I downloaded the Image Template for the cover art from Create Space and it is in Adobe Reader format....no biggie except that in order to edit I have to sign up with Adobe CC, which is gonna cost me $25 for about 30 minutes worth of work!

Anyway, I hate subscription models and this is exactly why. I think it is ridiculous to pay that amount of money to do such a simple task.

I use Nitro pdf at home. Cheap, works great, no issues.

At work we use Blubeam Review, totally sick, way better than adobe, have no idea the cost.
