Normal people's exact morning routine?

Wake up.
Fall out of bed.
Drag a comb across my head.
Find my way downstairs and drink a cup.
And looking up, I notice I am late.
Find my coat, grab my hat.
Make the bus in seconds flat.
Find my way upstairs and have a smoke.
Somebody speaks and I go into a dream.

I live in a brown paper bag in a septic tank. I have to get up at six o'clock in the morning, clean the bag, eat a handful of gravel, then I go to work down mill for fourteen hours .

You were lucky! We didn’t get a paper bag, we had to sleep in the tank and clean it with our tongues before we prepared the gravel for you lot. Then we were beaten after being turned away from t’mill.

I would say any routine that you can do that fit all those things in is going to be better than what normal people do.

But this IS gearslutz and I cannot remember anyone claiming to be normal.
This is the truth. If you want to be extraordinary, the last thing you want to be is ordinary. They are miles apart.

Again I ask, what is this ‘morning’ of which you speak?

The first thing I do: I read 10 pages of a novel book.
It requires me just 15/20 minutes with some approximation, having a relaxing pace.

for some reasons:
1)I'm too sleepy to read before going to bed (and have no time during the day)
2)It forces my mind to concentrate, so when it's done, I feel fresh/ready and unsleepy.
3)I start the day doing a small hobby, I feel relaxed. We live in fast paced society. I want to go slow as the first thing in the morning, I don't worry if I'm getting up 15 minutes before.

Since you asked, I am about to change:

my old routine: Get up at about 8:30, read the twitters, rage on trump/brexit/general idiocy at work, have a coffee with my gf on the couch watching morning tv for about 20 minutes and get to work then. I get to sleep late, between 01:00 and 03:00.

However ....

New routine will be:

- Get up at 06:30
- Skip the twitters with most "newsy information"
- Do nothing but music from 07:00 until 08:00
- Do work
- Evening ------->
- Do so me music from 22.00-23.00
- Bed time before 12

How every, I will see how I manage to cramp that time. Its the only way I can justify moving into a more professional studio space in 2019 and hey, my girlfriend is very supportive of it. I will kill my personal twitters as well. After about 20 years engagement in the "political space" I don't see where it makes sense any longer.

I can't explain my morning without mentioning the rest of a day, in context.
Here's my 'normal'... since about 2007...

On a 'workday':

6:30pm... Wake up.

7pm... Get up.

- Mix my "coffee",(lemonade/cranberry-juice/Blackberry snapps/silver
tequilla in equal parts)or grab a cold beer if I'm feeling lazy.
- Inhale as much smoke as possible.
- Sh.Sh.& Sh. as required.
- Eat a foods.

8:45pm... Turn on a computer, log onto work place and see what I'm getting
myself into that day. Drink. Smoke. Wake.

9pm... Accept the phone transfer from the office and begin my night-long
watch.

9pm-6:30am... Drink. Smoke. Pilosophize. Write music/jam/record with my
band. Internetz. Music. Poetry. Answer the phone from time to time.(usually
at an awkward moment) Nap. Repeat.

6:30am Throw anyone that's there, out. Prepare any notes for the next shift.

7am... Transfer phones back to office.

7am-11am... Eat again, and then drink until I can sleep.

I get much more done on my Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.
