Another option: Lewitt MTP 440 DM. I’ve been using two (snare top and bottom) for a year and a half or so - Definitely very open and transparent, a bit condenser like, but without the issues condensers can give on snare. I wouldn’t replace them with anything else!
No experience with their LDC's but their SDC's and dynamic mics are awesome. I tried the MTP 440 DM on guitar amps and then bought a second one, killer mic on guitar amps, so much better than a 57 in my opinion, great on snare too though I prefer hypercardioid mics like the M201 for...
