Fugue Machine Experts: help please

I'm trying to extract midi data from Fugue Machine patterns into Studio One.

I just did a search and there seem to be two approaches:
1. Use apps like music IO or studio mux to transmit midi data from the ipad wired via usb cable to my laptop. Reviews for these apps are not good.

2. Record midi into an ios daw like Cubasis or Nano-studio, then export a midi file, dropbox or email it, open in S1. Or maybe Auria Pro.

My guess is that #2 is the way to go. I have Nano-studio and Auria but just barely starting with it (and with Fugue Machine, so I'm easily confused). I'm especially interested in Auria as a more general ios daw.

Can someone who does this routinely kindly provide a nice simple step by step procedure to extract midi data from Fugue Machine?

Thanks in advance.

I figured it out...recorded into Auria pro - which btw has terrific documentation and is a very nice little daw.
