Iphone X - thoughts?

Curious what the Ios users think of the new release ?

I find the current gen phones (across all manufacturers) too big, so I'm gonna hold on to my iPhone SE. And I don't have any complaints about this phone yet anyway, so can't justify an upgrade.

And Apple will probably have the next gen in a year or less that refines all the new features, face ID etc, and probably ditches the lightning connector for something else...so I don't think this gen is the one to buy. Imho

This will make the clients who only book my studio to post instagram stories and facebook live feeds really happy,

I think it's way overpriced!

I won't be buying one. It's real nice with the face recognition and ultra retina display and all but my 1k cash will be spent elsewhere.

Tech looks cool but I'm in no hurry to upgrade.
I'd rather buy a nice mic, mic pre or 500 series comp with the money.

Lots of great tech, but too expensive. It will trickle down next year on the cheaper models.
Some tech blogs say that the Apple-made processor inside it is actually faster than the MacBook Pro 13'' !! The processors inside the iPads and iPhones are getting crazy powerful.

Oh yeah I wouldn't doubt it, especially since I'm sure ios is way more optimized at this point than Mac OS anymore.

Ironically I traded an old 2010 quad core Mac Pro for an iPad Pro, and I'm sure that the iPad is at least as fast.

As a 5s owner, I'll likely upgrade to the 8 this fall. As an iPad Air 1st gen owner, I'll upgrade that when the new pros come out.

I think for us musicians the iPad is much more interesting. I love it for recording, making music etc. As an instrumentalist, not a recording engineer or producer, I kind of hate the idea to have to start a computer to make music. Although I'm a software engineer. The iPad is kind of always on and never disturbs me or distracts me from making music. I'm still on an iPhone 6 and miss nothing. And love my headphone jack! The only thing that kind of interests me iPhone-wise are the better cameras. Love to simply use a Lewitt DGT650 (not that simple, but very very good) or a Shure MV88 to record and film gigs or rehearsals.

Walmart has been blowing out 32Gb iPhone SE's for $129 USD. Sort of a 6s/7 mashup in the older brick sh**house 4/5 chassis. Debuted in spring 2016. Very popular model with people that beat the crap out of mobile phones myself included.

This is no blow out. It is combined with a "straight talk" plan, which is very expensive in comparison.

DON'T DO IT!!!

"It's a trap!!!"

Haha too funny. You can use any plan with those. I have the same phone from the same deal and I'm not using Straight Talk.

Surely eyes are part of the structure? I don't know just guessing and hoping.

It won't unlock unless your eyes are open. Already been mentioned in a few video reviews.
