Solution for Good Audio for Facebook Live with iPhone 7
New poster here, scouring the Internet for solutions to this problem that I know must be out there but I cannot seem to find one so I came here. Hello everyone and thanks in advance:
I am trying to figure out a way to get decent outboard audio for streaming bands on Facebook Live. Prior to upgrading to iPhone 7 there were multiple solutions but now due to the loss of the headphone jack I cannot seem to find a way to use the phone with an outboard mic AND keep it on power at the same time. I suppose that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is this question: how to even get audio from an outboard piece such as an iRig or other such interface to 'recognize' Facebook Live.
I'm new to the live streaming game and to iOS production in general so excuse my ignorance. Just trying to figure out how to use this new tech and I'm not sure if manufacturers have caught up with the new phone's specs. Thanks again.
I'm intrigued. Why do you want this kind of set up? Streaming live bands for what? To record them? Using a mic all at the same time? For what?
There are audio interfaces out there but you'll have to pay decent prices for them. IRig is not really the business. Audio interface not recognizing Facebook Live. What? Maybe it's Facebook live which has to catch up?
iPhone 7 has third party stuff that can make you listen and charge at the same time but you got to pony up for these devices.
I still don't get your problem. There's always a solution but it may not come cheap because what you want is probably more specialist.
