Neve 2254 stereo more modjo than the THermionic Phoenix ?

I am looking for the best compressor to give life to my digital sounds in my DAW.
Which one of those two buddies will bring me the best modjo : Neve 2254 stereo or THermionic Culture phoenix ?

Thanks for your help
Sergio

Both will be a welcoming solution.
I've used the 2254 a few times (in mono) and I love how adds a nice thickness to the sound.

The phoenix I currently have in the room and its FAT (good fat) It has done things to my drum buss I have not been able to achieve with any plugin.

Needles to say you will be happy with both, it's a matter of taste I guess on which you should go for.

Both waaay different.
The 2254 is a thicker more colored unit.
The Phoenix more hi fi modern.
Both useful.
Demo and decide..or get both.

If you want thickness and tone get the Neves.
They are NOT cheap so rent some before you drop 6-7k on a pair.

Or take a look at the AML ones if you want to get the same vibe for much less money. If they're good enough for British Grove...
