Clearly there are Jensen input- and output-transformers, but now: how does it sound? How is it on your voice?

I love this preamp. One of the best ever made.

It's good. I liked my Great River, but for what I do (voiceover) the Hardy seems to give the same mojo but cleaner.

The M1 Rules! Have had my double channel with Jensen trans for maybe 15 years, and it's my go-to mic preamp. And if you are just a little patient, JH's support is exemplary.

Yeah, while we're at it, are you sure it's using a 990 opamp?

Jealous though. Def. want some of these in the future.

I get a little intimidated when I open things up like expensive pre-amps, and
didn't realize how easy it would be to do a search of the Hardy specs on the internet, and in my excitement to verify this I went ahead and posted the photo. Then I realized that it would be much easier to verify this than I thought. Another example of how easily we can psych ourselves out. I tend to get the same brain freeze under the hood of a car. But you're right, kind of a blonde moment.

no prob- and I was being genuine. I thought maybe it was meant as a joke. so please don't take offense, I did not mean it that way. They are big, bad ass trannies with a beautiful 990

thanks. Yeah, I liked my Great River, but for what I'm doing(voiceover) and on my voice, the combination of clarity and mojo of the Hardy is unsurpassed.
