Symphony I/O 8x8 module - Old vs New

Hello people!
I was looking at the Symphony I/O systems and notices that there is an old 8x8 module and a new one.
The difference seems to be that the old modules don't have AES. Can anyone confirm that this is the only difference, and that there is no difference sound-wise?

Can't seem to find any info about this online..

thanks!

The older ones had either AES or ADAT digital, the new ones have both.. That's the only difference.

They initially offered the choice of EITHER ADAT optical OR AES/EBU on DSUB. Mine has the one with AES/EBU on it. No optical.
The new modules offer both, for more value added to the customer.
