For what purpose? Are you thinking of buying one or booking studio time? They are very different beasts, at different price points and will require different levels of maintenance, will have different power consumption, are different sizes

Is your concern the best for tracking, for mixing, for costs...?

track drums with the api next to the 80 series for everything else and mix it on the 4000e/g+ upgraded to g+ specs in the room next door

80 series for tracking, 4/9K for mixing. It's been happening for 3 decades as such with impressive results. No need to reinvent the wheel.
