Desperately needing (a picture) help with AD-16x

Hi

I buy a used AD-16x

The unit came with a chip floating inside

Is a 28 pin chip, supposedly U9 located in main board in front of power transformer

Although is marked in the socket and in the chip I wanto to see a picture
to confirm this

Please help

Both the socket and chip will have a marking for where Pin 1 is. Sometimes it will be a "U" shaped cutout or a circle or a dot but there will be a marking of some kind so you know which way to put the IC chip back into it's socket. Watch out for static and if possible support under the socket while you press the chip back in as not to flex/bend the PCB board.

Yes, is marked, but I was looking for a double check

I put the chip in the socket, it seems like nothing is wrong with the unit
but I suppose that need a new eprom

Display is showing 00.00

replace the eprom is the only solution? or is possible reflash it

Thanks in advance

so does it seem as nothing is wrong with the unit or does it only show 00.00 and does not react? its a bit unclear from your post.

sorry, maybe I´m unclear
Im not speak in english...
It seems that nothing more is wrong, apart from the eprom
The unit was well packed, but is like the transport hit it very hard causing the chip goes out of the socket

then just re-seat it with pin1 connected to pin1 on the socket and make some music!

I had the same issue very recently with my DA16x; only showed 00.000 on power up. Customer service at apogee told me this means the eprom is bad. They sent me a new one free of charge. Replaced it and it was back to normal.

Apogee tech support will help you. I haven't called in a while but I thought they were excellent. E-mail them.
