Hi all having hard summing to 1073 mpf

Have the RME ufx
Protools 10/Logic Pro 9

Just got my mpf unit
Connected 2 Balanced PL from output 7/8 in the rme unit the the front panel DI/Line in the BAE .
Outputs from BAE back XLR female to PL balanced input 7/8 in RME .
What's next ??
Is it that good as summing bus ?

Can't find manual for this unit , not in the box and not online !
Tnx

That's not summing. That's running a signal through a preamp.

They are 2 different things.

this will only bring you the gains/amps and the filters of the BAE for your DAW signal… is this what you wanted? like Jim said, you only run the signal through, you're not summing then.

The title is a bit confusing. Are you having a hard time, or a hard on ?

That is just using the DAW and RME Unit to Sum/Mix, its simply passes through the BAE1073,
You would need to have your Multi-Track DAC Outputs feeding a Roll Music Folcrum to use the BAE1073 as a Stereo Summing Amplifier,
Sounds great,
probably a much better way to use the gear on the back end,
Though its a awesome Box and can work well for "sweetening" tracks or an entire mix for that matter.

well after few hours these are the results :
in PT i have a stereo channel with playback output select to 7,8 (physical outputs from rme to the bae unit)

i opened new track and selected inputs 7,8 /record enabled (physical inputs from bae to rme)
when i press on line i get very low signal and crappy sounding and gain/output/filter not responding.
when i push the DI buttons i get normal signal and the gain/filter/output responding.

in the only explanatory materiel
that i can find about this unit it says that to run mixes through the the bae i need to choose line .
why isn't it working with line and only with di ?
do i need to push all 4 buttons ?
what are the line buttons for?

you need to plug your signal into the dedicated xlr line input first. and then read the manual some more i guess good luck!
