My Sphere in my studio in 1999.
I picked up the line level signal on the Sphere right before the fader and it went to the line inputs of the Yamaha 01V.
I went out of the 01V via light pipe to a Korg 1212I/O and Studio Vision Pro running on a Mac G3.
The Yamaha 01V was there to give both an interface and combat the input latency of the system.

This set up sounded half decent for 1999!

Previous to this era it fed a JH-24 and then a WaveFrame 1000.

My 1977 Yamaha PM 2000 32 Input / 8 Buss. 100% functional! It was the house console for the entire run of CATS on Broadway for 14 years.

Quoting an old post for truth.

It forces me to play with the fader more, and to be more aggressive with the eq gain at times, or bend things in ways I otherwise wouldn't because it's the only choice I've got.

Limited options inspire creative workarounds!

Little mini-8. (I like limitations)
With WE 111c's & Carnhills on a pair of busses for options.
