Anyone try different opamps in a 1608? 500 Series EQ\'s

two. But I've only ever had problems with the ones in the same position (I think it is the output)

Standard API one. Don't recall exactly how long the cables are but my PSU's are in the machine room at the side of the CR and the stock cables reach fine.

Ok when I enable the channel into the mix buss is when I hear the noise,I am contacting api today,not sure if I want to tackle this myself.plus I want to make sure it is the op amp.

anybody out there with red dots in their 1608 feel it's essential to swap both op-amps in the 548B channel strip as well as in the 550/560 eqs to get the full benefit?

it easily becomes a rather expensive operation,
and before i sell another kidney i'd like to know if there's a particular op-amp in the signal flow that you might feel is more/less important than another???
