How would the Vipre compliment microphones such as the Brauner VM1-KHE or the Soundeluxe ELAM251 ?

Very nicely.

You can go through a very wide selection of pretty cool tones which allows you to really tailor the sound you're recording to the rest of the song.

It can be a seriously remarkable combination [expecially with the 251 which seems to be grant a few more colors with the Vipre than the KHE... the KHE just sounds stunning no matter what it's run through].

Mike . . . since getting my Vipre from you, I have used it constantly and am amazed at what it does to every mic that is plugged into it . . . . BUT the main mic that was brought to life WAS the Brauner VM1. Smoothed it right out. BIG difference! What an amazing pre.

I still want a VIPRE real hard, but the budget is still recovering from the ADAMs. I was wondering how it sounds with more modest mics, like a 103 or a 414?. Or even a 57?

Has anybody used the VIPRE with (any) Earthworks?

Am I the only one who thinks GT should add a variable mu compressor to their venerable preamp so that they might call it the VUPRE??

(I suspect the answer to my question is "yes.")

don't worry Mike . . . we will still buy things from you . . . . . I think people like buying from you because of your offer of the "free pair of socks with purchases over $4000"

And of course your . . . . "buy one, get the other one free policy"
