Can I use american ProTools cards in Europe?

Can I use american ProTools cards in Europe?
Some guy who sells PT equipment told me that the 50-60 Hz difference would be a problem in the long run. Is that really so? Any experiences?
Thanks in advance!

Never had any issues though. On this one I can only tell you based on experience, not based on true knowledge (unfortunately), but so far I've never had any problems with my PT cards: I've used American Mix-cards in Europe, and European HD Accel cards in the US. It's all fine.

don't pci cards run on low voltage, supplied by the pci-bus?

Isn't the computer power supply also making DC? If so, wouldn't that make the 50/60 Hz issue a non-issue?

thanks for your replies!
I'm really considering buying some cards in the States second hand, so I'd really appreciate some technical info, besides the (also useful) practical ones.

Anyone?

Thanks to you all!
