I wanna go Digital I/O. What can i do with 1K?

For now, all i have is a Delta 1010LT. only 2Channel S/PDIF, and no optical.

I want an A/D Converter, and something to transfer that to the PC.

What can i do with 1K?

thanks.

I assume its a pc with pci slot? and I also assume you want decent quality/value for money

You best bet then would be just to sell what you have and get a new PCI card, from either RME or Lynx

it mostly depends on how many inputs and out puts you want, and what quality

i need 2-tracks at least, But i would love to hear some 8-tracks recommendations also.

if i sell the delta, and get a new PCI card + A/D converter, what hardware/portal should i buy to get in pro tools, in case i need it?

dude,

you're posting in 'high end'.

most of these guys spend $1k on a fr*gg*n chair.

you might want to try posting in:

"so much gear, so little time", or in "low end theory"

good luck, and let us know what you find.

As usual I'd say Soundscape!

Mixtreme card with 16 TDIF in/out + DSP realtime mixer and great ASIO drivers with 8 channel AD/DA converter 500.-€. Great deal!

Now that Soundscape is owned by SSL, I expect them do go MAC soon. But you never know!
