EMT 262

I posted this on the recpit, but no response, so here it goes.
I just picked up an EMT 262 for a screamin deal, Any opinions on this unit? It's pretty small, not much biger than a cooper time cube remote. How does it compare to the 240, or to the sound of the 140?
thanks in advance,
Mesmer

Hi,

mmmh, I don't think the 262 is a reverb at all, I think it's from there limiter/gate/noise filter rack series.

There is a 162, which is a plate, and sure, the 140 and 240.

hmm. the 262 is the amplifier of the 240 Gold Foil Plate.
There are two of them sticking in the 240 upper left and right side.
They should have an Input, an Output and a Lowcut Filter.

congrats, it's a very cool unit. thou a lil bit noisy ! I use it mainly with pretty short time-settings, to beef up my drums and percussion. Very dimensional !

I have a 140 solid state. pickups are weak, I think I'm gonna have audio upgrades fix em up. I also have a wierd swedish plate with wood grain on the out side. (sounds like ****.) Thanks for all your help.

I have an old one of these "emt 262" that I'm looking to sell locally, how much should I expect to get for it?

Hi Remythetooth,

it´s definitely a little late to ask ....but the options to find an EMT 262 amp these days are extremely limited.
So, do you still own your 262 and are you still looking for a buyer?
I know it´s really ridiculous to ask this in 2019...even the thread is almost vintage :-)

Thanks,
Ralf
