Drawmer 1968 good for Trackin?

I just sold me Joemeek SC3. I got no compressor right now.
and I am plannin upgrade to Drawmer 1968 for Trackin and Mixin.
Anyone have good experence for trackin with 1968?
How's feel with Kick, Snare, Bass, Synth or other?
Gentle Compress or Hard Compress for trackin which would be fine.
How's 1968 compare to Joemeek SC2 for PUMPIN Drum buss?

My AD/DA converter is LYNX TWO. Is DA>AD good enough for OTB MIX?

My main production are Hip-Hop(90's Grit) and Trip-Hop and some Acid Jazz, House Music.
and use in Home studio.
Final will go for Pro Studio with SSL console and Compress or Tube Tech and other stuff
but I still hope can Gentle mix at home first.
or you don't think I need any Hi-End compressor..

Please I need your advice.

Really thanks for help

Drawmer 1968 is an amazing compressor. Of course you can use it for tracking and at the mix down stage. It is actually transparent and thick. Depending on how much reduction you use with it. It's one of the best compressors out there.
